Surviving 2020!
The year 2020 was an interesting year for me. The pandemic brought with it so many different emotions and life changing events for all of us. Photoshoots were eventually able to resume but my year was a mixture of fear, depression, anxiety, clarity, energy and overwhelm! I dealt with these by doing lots of dog walks, really enjoying the outdoors as much as we could, focusing on my business and how to adapt it to cope with all the changes, and of course many a night doing Zoom quizzes with friends involving copious amount of wine!
Lockdown in Suffolk
During the first 3 months of lockdown I concentrated on my business marketing and did a couple of online courses about how to run an online course! I decided I would start preparing courses and workshops that I could easily deliver over the web to all those small business owners out there who need help with their business photography. Then, as soon as lockdown was over in July, BOOM, work kicked off with a vengeance! First up was shooting the Christmas Sale campaign for Hillary’s. We were shooting Christmas on a scorching hot day in July, all wearing masks and keeping 2 meters apart – not easy inside and working around furniture.
Brands, Magazines and Interior Designers
Right up until a few days before Christmas I was shooting for a variety of clients, including:
- The Simple Things Magazine – artists feature and real homes features
- 25 Beautiful Homes Magazine – real homes features
- Pinney’s of Orford – brand advertising, marketing and PR
- KBB Magazine – kitchen feature
- Beards and Daisies – brand advertising, marketing and PR
- 91 Magazine – homes and artists features
- Jojo Humes Interior Designer
- Charlotte Crofts Interior Designer
- Bright and Well Yoga
Photography Webinars with 91 Magazine
I ran two really enjoyable webinars with 91 Magazine, one two days before the March Lockdown and the next one two days into the second lockdown in November! You can purchase the recordings of both of these from the 91 Magazine website:
